Cape Town and the South peninsula of South Africa in summer – heavenly!!

The days are long, the weather warm and Clovelly golf course is looking magnificent and ready to welcome visitors to the course or the bar facilities.

Dunvegan Lodge is  in full swing with our long term self catering “swallows” (european or British visitors looking to escape the cold back home) enjoying everything that safe and secure Dunvegan Lodge has to offer – the solar heated swimmimg pool, the magnificent views across Clovelly golf course towards the distant Atlantic ocean and the amazing restaurants of Kalk Bay and Fish Hoek.

Fish Hoek beach has had a visit from a rare Elephant seal (called Buffel) that needed a safe haven to do its annual moult – well it sure found the correct place as Fish Hoek beach is as safe and relaxed as any beach in South Africa. He appears to have departed for destinations unknown but will surely return in the future – everyone returns to Clovelly and Fish Hoek eventually.

This year Dunvegan Lodge is celebrating 21 years operation as a guest lodge with the same owners – Peter and Sylvia McLeod.

This must surely be a record in the hospitality industry and we look forward to welcoming old and new guests to the amazing piece of paradise that we call home.
